According to a rumor, PSG is prepared to trade the player they signed with Borussia Dortmund for €90 million because of his recent poor performance. After being substituted at halftime during Paris Saint-Germain's recent match against OGC Nice, Randal Kolo Muani's status in the team is looking more and more questionable.
The forward, who cost the club an impressive €90 million when he signed in 2023, is apparently thinking about leaving the French capital, and the team is open to the notion of a winter sale. To put things in perspective, it was claimed a few months ago that Borussia Dortmund was considering getting Randal Kolo Muani over to the Bundesliga.
Luis Enrique, the head coach of PSG, made waves when he decided to substitute South Korean star Lee Kang-In for Kolo Muani during halftime. Following the draw in the game, Luis Enrique wasn't afraid to voice his criticism. He said, "At half-time, I could have easily made five changes. No problem. Five players could have come off, but I only made one, and that was it."
His remarks were interpreted as a blatant admission that Kolo Muani's play fell short of PSG's expectations. Kolo Muani has struggled to duplicate his effect at the club level even though he has demonstrated solid play for the French national team.
Randal Kolo Muani to leave Paris Saint-Germain in 2025?
In 49 appearances after joining PSG, he only recorded 11 goals and 6 assists, which is below average for an attacker of his caliber and price range.Reports states that the 24-year-old attacker is now seriously considering making a move during the impending winter transfer window.
It's evident that Luis Enrique doesn't always have him in his starting lineup, despite his occasional opportunities. Kolo Muani seems to have been motivated by this realization to search for a team where he may take on a more prominent role. The management of PSG appears to be in favor of selling the striker if a good offer is made, if not totally against it.
