Ousmane Dembele ended up in Paris following Friday's victory over Rennes, following an altercation with Enrique. The winger reportedly apologized afterward and will resume full practice on Thursday. Dembele will return to the team for the match against Nice on Sunday.

PSG was without Dembele yesterday as they lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League in London. Surprisingly, Luis Enrique decided not to include Dembélé in the team that left for Tuesday's Champions League match against Arsenal in London. In the Ligue 1 champions' visit to London's Emirates Stadium, they fell 2-0 in a generally unthreatening game, and the winger was much missed.

Luis Enrique's decision to bench Dembélé came primarily from the fact that the France international showed up to training very late after the Rennes match and did not offer an explanation. It is believed that Luis Enrique was so incensed at the winger's disciplinary infraction that he decided to leave him out of the UEFA Champions League match.

“This was our first big rival at a higher level” : Luis Enrique

Arsenal's first European victory of the season was secured by goals in the first half from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. The match brought to light the disparities in the two teams' developmental phases: Arsenal, under Arteta, looked professional and motivated, while Luis Enrique's PSG team still seemed like a work in progress.

Luis Enrique said, “I can’t really evaluate things on the same scale. Mikel Arteta is in his fifth year with Arsenal, and I’ve only been managing PSG for a year and two months. While I have a clear vision of where I want to take this team, it’s difficult to predict how much time we’ll need to reach that level of performance.

The former FC Barcelona manager added, "I can't properly evaluate the level of our team, we will have to wait until the end of the season. This was our first big rival at a higher level. We knew from the first minute they would press us high and they did it aggressively and we couldn't cope with that pressure."
