Neymar's frustration was evident as he observed from the sidelines during the defeat to Corinthians in the semifinals of the Paulista Championship on Sunday. The star forward, sidelined by a left thigh injury, was unable to lend his influence to the match, which resulted in a disappointing 2-1 loss for his team.

Neymar's heartfelt message to his fans

At 33 years old, Neymar continues his journey with Santos in search of a title, having not yet achieved one since his return. He sustained an injury during the previous quarter-final match against Bragantino and dedicated the week to treatment. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover in time to participate in the semis.

The coach noted that Neymar felt discomfort following the match but expressed his desire to remain with the team. Despite his eagerness to contribute, it was a tough moment for him not to be able to play the fixture.

Neymar, recently called back at the Brazilian national squad after an eighteen-month hiatus, observed the match seriously from the sidelines.

Following the game, he conveyed his disappointment through a heartfelt Instagram story. Santos' coaching staff, however, remains unfazed by Neymar's condition, describing it as mild injury. They made a choice to prioritize caution with their star player, who rejoined Santos in January after his stint in Saudi Arabia.
