The rumors indicated that he lost a ring valued at around £16M after greeting a fan before stepping onto the pitch. In some widely shared videos, Neymar appears to look back at his fingers, which led to speculation about the missing item.

Neymar's clarification regarding the alleged theft incident

Neymar clarified that he did not have any jewellery stolen, despite the circumstances surrounding the incident. The video capturing the alleged theft was recorded last Monday, before Al-Hilal's match in the Asian Champions League. Initially, Neymar appeared to be in good shape, but later in the second half, he sustained an injury after a foul by Zamani, leading to his substitution.

"You guys are going crazy! Just this week, there have been three fake news stories. A page this size, full of followers, spreading lies. It makes things difficult... it’s a shame that Brazil treats me like this," lamented Neymar in the comment box of an Instagram page.

Here is the video that went viral on social media:

The match marked a significant moment for Neymar, as it was his first appearance following a 12-month ACL injury recovery. He contributed to Al-Hilal's 3-0 victory over Esteghlal of Iran in the AFC Champions League Elite.

Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus provided an insightful update regarding Neymar's condition, noting that the situation is more intricate than just a minor injury. Neymar is experiencing muscle discomfort, rather than a knee-related issue.

In a positive message to his fans on social media, Neymar conveyed his hope that the situation is manageable. He reflected on the challenges of returning to play after a year away, acknowledging the importance of listening to medical advice and gradually ramping up his playing time.
