According to MARCA, Nacho Fernández is expected to depart Real Madrid after over two decades in order to relocate to Al Qadsiah. After his contract expires towards the end of June, Nacho is expected to depart the team—a decision that Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed.

The Spanish defender will make 10 million euros over the course of a two-year deal with Al Qadsiah, a recently promoted team in Saudi Arabia. As Nacho completed his medical previously this week, Al Qadsiah reportedly closed the deal in the final hours.

After leading the team of his dreams to a historic 15th UEFA Champions League title as well as their 36th La Liga title, Nacho feels ready for his next assignment at Al Qadsiah, where he will be guided by former Real Madrid player Michel. This is an attractive deal for the player who consistently puts the club's best interests ahead of his own.

By now, everyone knows that Real Madrid will be very different from this season onward. There will be changes made everywhere in the Spanish capital, from the personnel at Carlo Ancelotti's disposal to the system.

Who will captain Real Madrid after Nacho Fernandez?

The first captain of the team, Nacho Fernandez, will likewise be leaving the Spanish city this summer. It goes without saying that this event has raised questions about who will coach Los Blancos during the 2024–2025 season. As things stand, Luka Modric will take Nacho's place as the team's first captain for the upcoming campaign. With an unparalleled amount of expertise under his belt, at 38 years old, the award is richly deserved.

With Modric probably starting the majority of games on the bench, Dani Carvajal will take over as Los Blancos' second captain and wear the armband for them on a regular basis. Next season, Federico Valverde and Lucas Vazquez will probably be the third as well as fourth captains, respectively. For the time being, no formal announcement has been made by the club and might be done sometime before the season starts.
