Mikel Arteta picks current favourite player in EPL (Source- Twitter)
Arsenal are currently competing in the English Premier League title race. The Gunners have the chance to win the EPL after 20 years. But they need to keep their eyes on Manchester City who are the favourites as a win against West Ham will hand over the trophy to Pep Guardiola's side. Mikel Arteta's side have performed amazingly in the ongoing season, as they are the side with the least goals conceded in the league, they also played well in the UEFA Champions League.
Arteta's men will first look to win their game against Everton and hope West Ham to at least take a point from the Etihad Stadium, as the same points will make the North London side the winners due to their better goal difference. Ahead of the game on Sunday, the Spanish manager admitted he was glued to Tottenham's game against City on Tuesday night and experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, especially when Son Heung-min went clear through but missed the golden opportunity to equalise.
The 42-year-old manager dropped a shocking comment about the player he wants to pick currently from the PL is Son. He referred to a quote from Michael Jordan explaining it many times, how many times he had the winning shot. The South Korean has stepped up for the club on various occasions, but on one day did not manage to do it.
Arteta believes West Ham can upset Man City
The former footballer is hopeful about winning the league and he has the same confidence he had on day one of the season that Arsenal can end their 20-year wait for the title and is also praying that his former manager, David Moyes, can help cause an upset with West Ham at City. The former midfielder played under him in Everton and said, "He’s been instrumental in my career. Not just as a footballer, but as a person as well."
This is the 10th consecutive season that, the league will be decided on the final day and, in the last nine occasions, the team which started top has ended up winning it. A last-day PL has always been exciting to watch with the fans enjoying their best moments of the game.
