Arsenal are currently competing for the title race of the English Premier League. The Gunners are placed top in the league table with one game more played than Manchester City as the reigning champions a point behind the league leaders with one in hand. However Mikel Arteta's side would like City to drop points in one of the remaining games, the Sky Blues will play Fulham in their upcoming game on Saturday. On the other hand the North London side will be hosting Manchester United on Sunday.

Arteta will be hoping that his side to win all their remaning games. Ahead of the clash at Emirates against the Red Devils the Spanish head coach has one thing in mind and that is to win the PL after 20 years. This is the second consecutive year that City and the Gunners are competiting for the title, in the previous year City won the league after the London side fumbled towards the end of the season. 

However the 2024 year started well for the side but they lost a crucial game against Aston Villa. However they came back strong winning the crucial London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur. The game against Erik ten Hag's side will be crucial and a must win game for the side as the Red Devils having a poor form and sits at 8th in the table.   

Emotions on potentially not winning the league: Mikel Arteta

Speaking to the Arsenal media, the 42-year-old said, "Emotions on potentially not winning the league? My brain always takes me to the players lifting the Premier League, that's what my brain is doing at the moment. I just follow my brain and my gut and this is how I feel, and this is the way that I want everybody to think and hopefully we can achieve it." 

City have a game left against Spurs and the Gunners will be hoping that they drop points against the arch rivals at White Hart Lane inorder to make the task easier for them. Three clubs from England have already qualified for the UCL City, Arsenal and Liverpool and Aston Villa are favourites to take the fourth spot.
