'Micheal Jordan defended like a son of..'-Luis Enrique instructs Kylian Mbappe during fiery tactical session

In the previous season, Paris Saint-Germain staged a remarkable comeback against FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals. Despite a 2-3 loss at the Parc des Princes, the French team triumphed 4-1 at the Olimpic de Montjuic, thanks to a standout performance by Kylian Mbappe, who scored twice.

In the conversation, the Ligue 1 Gaffer urges Kylian Mbappe to take on more defensive responsibilities and lead by example for the team.

In the video, Luis Enrique revealed that he knew Michael Jordan as Mbappe's favourite athlete; he motivated the Frenchman by reminding him how Jordon motivated his teammates to play better fiercely and how he set an example by doing things himself. 

He instructed Mbappe to mark Barcelona's player Cubrasi and press on their Goalkeeper, Ter Stegen so that they don't get into their grooves. He wanted Mbappe to do the 'leaders stuff'

Enrique praised Mbappe for his attacking prowess but also asserted that on the days he doesn't get much opportunity up front, he would have to assist in defending like the best Defender on the pitch.

"I read that you liked Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan used to grab all his teammates by the balls and defend like a son of a b*tch. You have to set an example, first as a person and as a player, to go", began an energetic Luis Enrique.

"You're going to have Cubarsi, you're going to mark him. You're going to mark him and Ter Stegen. You're going to spend the whole game pressing Cubarsi to stop him going forward and Ter Stegen to play quickly. And then, coming back quickly. What for? To be a leader," said the coach.

The motivation didn't fall to deaf years, during the match Barcelona's defenders succumbed to the high press of Mbappe and his team.

"This is what I want you to do as a leader for the two months you have left. I want you to leave here through the big door, Kiky. There is no doubt about it." - Luis said

"But you have to earn it. And not attacking, I know you are God when attacking, there is no one better than you, I know that. But the day you don't attack you have to be the best player in history defending. That's a leader, that's Michael Jordan,’  Luis Enrique added.
