Manchester United faced Brentford in their first game after the October International break Schade, a striker for Brentford, and de Ligt of Manchester United had a heavy collision as they both went down. As Schade ran towards the United box, De Ligt attempted to head the ball away, but the Dutchman struck Schade's knee with his head. Due to de Ligt's awkward challenge, Brentford is given a free kick.

De Ligt's head was injured and he seeked medical attention on the sidelines, however, there was an excessive amount of blood present. De Ligt is considered fit to continue even though United defender Lindelof began to warm up on the sidelines. The tape he wore on top of his scalp may have prevented the blood flow.

Manchester United, who are mired in 14th place following only two victories during their initial seven league games, sits three spots behind Brentford. Frank is certain that the Dutchman is not worthy of such thorough examination, but a defeat to Brentford might bring Erik ten Hag nearer to the firing line.

“I don’t really pay too much attention to form” : Thomas Frank

Despite the fact that United has lost five straight games in all competitions, Brentford manager Frank stated he will ignore their recent performance. He said, “I’ve experienced it too many times in my career: we face a team that has lost three games in a row but they come out absolutely flying.”.

The Brenford manager said, “I don’t really pay too much attention to form. I believe that we can go anywhere and beat any team, but I’m also aware that when we go to Old Trafford to face Manchester United – a massive club with top players – they are favourites. But we need to go there with the approach and mindset that we can win.”
