Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly "getting closer to an agreement" on the transfer of Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge. On deadline day, Sancho is poised to leave Manchester United, with Chelsea appearing to be the only team interested in signing him.

The 24-year-old has been linked to European powerhouses Juventus, PSG, and Borussia Dortmund this summer. It appears like Sancho is going to stay at Old Trafford or become part of Enzo Maresca's squad, despite rumours of interest from outside.

Three years ago, Manchester United paid £73 million to get Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, but the winger has fallen short of the team's expectations. After having an argument with Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, he spent the second part of the previous season on loan at his old club.

According to reports, Manchester United requested £50 million for Sancho, but in these hard circumstances, they may settle for £25 million or perhaps loan him out. On deadline day, Chelsea is apparently hoping to add a new striker, with talks reportedly underway for Brentford's Ivan Toney and Napoli's Victor Osimhen to join Al Ahli. In addition to needing a No. 9, the West London club seem to be close to signing Sancho.

However, everything hinges on Raheem Sterling's future. The winger is wanting to be shipped to Arsenal by Chelsea since they no longer need him. If Arsenal moves forward, Sancho will be available for Chelsea to sign. Chelsea will probably not sign Sancho if Arsenal decides not to move forward.

Juventus out of the race to sign Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho of Manchester United is apparently no longer up for grabs, according to Juventus. The English winger, who was left out of the first two Premier League matchday squads, once again expressed his wish to leave the club, leading to a plethora of rumours in the final weeks of the transfer season.

Although there had been rumours that Juventus and United had reached an agreement on a loan with obligations, it appeared that the negotiations had ended. Yesterday, Fabrizio Romano expanded on the report, stating that Sancho and Juventus were not in talks about a transfer since they couldn't agree on a salary or loan arrangement.
