Manchester United reportedly wants Erik Ten Hag to be replaced by Rudd Van Nistelrooy in 2-3 years

Manchester United is reportedly grooming their future manager who could take the reigns from Erik Ten Hag in the next two to three years. The sources claim that it's none other than Rudd Van Nistelrooy. The former Dutch player returned to the United and agreed to be an assistant manager of Ten Hag. He already has a task cut out in managing emerging players.

One of the bigger tasks for the 48-year-old was to get the best from Joshua Zirkzee. There was an advantage for Ruud in this regard given both were Dutch. It probably worked for the Red Devils as Joshua was able to shine on his debut by scoring a goal against Fulham. In a short period of time, Nistelrooy seems to have had a good impact in the dressing room.
