German coach Jurgen Klopp has spoken about his next coaching job after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season. The veteran coach was a guest speaker at the International Coaches Congress which was held in Germany recently.

There have been talks that Jurgen Klopp could be the next England coach and succeed Gareth Southgate. The German though has categorically stated that he will not make a return to management anytime soon.

Jurgen Klopp said, “At the moment, there is nothing at all in terms of jobs. No club, no country. A few people must not have heard this part. And it would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football if you said, ‘I’ll make an exception for you now.’”

Jurgen Klopp not in a hurry to end his exile

After a successful stint with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp decided to take a break from management. While there are rumours that the German isn’t going to make a comeback to football anytime soon, many fans are hopeful that Klopp will be back.

Speaking during the Coaches congress the German also said, “I’m going to do some work. I’m too young to only do padel tennis and grandchildren. Will that be coaching again? I would actually rule that out at the moment. Let’s see what it will look like in a few months. Nothing is coming through at the moment.”

Jurgen Klopp also added, “As of today, that’s it for me as a coach. I didn’t quit on a whim, but it was a general decision. I’ve also coached the best clubs in the world. Maybe we can talk about it again in a few months. I still want to work in football and help people with my experience and contacts. Let’s see what else there is for me.”

Dutch manager Arne Slot has replaced Klopp as the coach for the upcoming season. Liverpool Chief Executive Billy Hogan as quoted by BBC said, “Jurgen departing was a seismic decision but the right decision for him and his family, so by extension the right decision for the club.”

The Liverpool chief executive also said “He was very clear about leaving the club in a better place than where he found it and I think he has done that. The timing of his announcement allowed us to go through a proper process."
