Transfer Pundit, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester United is open to the possibility of transferring Tyrell Malacia in January, indicating that discussions with a European club are underway.
Fabrizio Romano provides updates
Romano suggests that the 25-year-old defender could be on the move this month if an attractive offer comes in. There's also the option for Malacia to leave on loan, potentially with a future purchase clause included in the deal.
It appears that the player’s potential destinations are still being considered, as confirmed by Romano on X.
"Tyrell Malacia could leave Man Utd now in case of good proposal, even on initial loan with buy clause,’ wrote Romano. But he’s not a target for Italian side Como, no talks despite reports." Romano wrote on X.
The Dutch defender made the move to United during the summer transfer window of 2022, transferring from Feyenoord in a deal worth up to £14.7 million. His recent substitute appearance against Arsenal marked his first minutes on the pitch since December 22. This was a promising return to action after spending the previous two matches on the bench. So far this season, he has made just four appearances.

The Transfer to help Amorim's ambitions
Ruben Amorim is looking to identify a player who aligns more closely with his wing-back system, especially since he joined the club just last November. If Manchester United considers a transfer for Tyrell, it could provide the necessary funds to recruit someone who better fits Amorim's tactical approach.
