Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been on high alert following Mauricio Pochettino's exit from Chelsea. Pochettino's availability for quick employment has put him on both United and Bayern' radars. Argentine coach Pochettino departed Chelsea by mutual agreement on Tuesday night, citing amicable but insurmountable disputes with club owners over the team's future orientation.

The 52-year-old's presence in the open managerial market instantly alters the summer actions of a number of prominent clubs. There has been a scarcity of highly experienced but yet relatively young managers available, and Pochettino would provide a ready-made alternative for one of Europe's top clubs.

Pochettino transformed Chelsea's season, taking them from 11th place in April to sixth place in the Premier League with only one defeat in the final 15 games. Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich have taken note of his form, as well as the tactical intricacy with which he achieved it. United have been debating whether to remove Erik ten Hag for a while, with the Dutch manager battling with an eighth-place result and even a negative goal differential.

Last week, Bayern executives experienced a change of heart and attempted to persuade Tuchel to continue next season. Tuchel, however, turned down the opportunity, leaving Bayern back at square one and still looking for a new manager.
