Manchester United had a horrifying season as they finished 8th in the English Premier League table. The Red Devils have been one of the most successful clubs in England, but over the years, they have performed poorly and not won a single European Trophy or the EPL. The club made an unwanted record of losing 14 games in a single season, which is the most by the team in history.

United will be looking to bounce back in the next season, as there will be a lot of changes from the current squad. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the current head of the Football Operations, listed some of the players that will be excluded in the upcoming summer transfer window. Three footballers have already announced their departure from the club at the end of the season. Ahead of the next season, their star footballer and club captain Bruno Fernandes has dropped his demand.

The Portuguese footballer has been one of the Red Devils' best players in the Premier League last season. The creative midfielder has asked the club to increase the payment as the club approached him for a possible extension of his contract till 2026. His present salary is £12.5million a year and the player wants to be paid around the same amount as the Brazilian footballer Casemiro, whose £18.2million a year salary is the highest in the squad.

Where will Bruno end up in next season?

But the management is yet to decide on the agreement he has been asking for, as he will turn 30 next season. As per the reports by Football Transfers, United are unlikely to go for such a significant pay rise. The 29-year-old footballer will then see new options in Europe or Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese will be next seen in the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester City and the club has the slightest chance to win the game and qualify for the UEFA Europa League. A win against the city rivals will be the only opportunity for them to participate in the European competition.
