It's been reported that Manchester United has rejected a pitiful offer for midfielder Scott McTominay from Galatasaray. According to reports, if the Red Devils receive a good offer for the Scotland international this summer, they are prepared to let him go.

The 27-year-old is interested in joining Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur of London, according to a report from SunSport earlier this month. Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray is rumored to have shown interest in McTominay and has put in a bid for the Scottish international.

However, the Premier League's biggest clubs are rumored to have rejected their lowball offer. The Turkish Super Lig giants reportedly made a £12.6 million proposal for the Red Devils academy graduate, according to Turkish writer Ali Naci Kucuk.

According to the reporter United wanted more as he said in an interview that, “Galatasaray have submitted an offer of €15m to Manchester United. Manchester United, on the other hand, wanted €30m. If Manchester United don’t get the offers they want, McTominay could go to Galatasaray for €20m.”

“He's a very important player for our squad” : Erik Ten Hag

Speaking candidly on McTominay's status at Old Trafford, United manager Erik ten Hag made it clear that he wants to keep the player. The midfielder, who also has a flair for scoring goals, is clearly liked by the manager for his style of play. He also held the record for most goals scored by the team in the league at one point last season.

The former Ajax manager said, "I think we have very good players so they'll always have an interest from other clubs. If you score 10 goals in a season and perform very well for Scotland there will be an interest. We want to actually keep him because he's a very important player for our squad. We've seen what he can contribute last season. When we had the sixes and he could play in a more advanced role, he's a highly interesting player for our team."
