Recent events have shocked Turkish football circles and seem to indicate that Mauro Icardi, the great striker for Galatasaray, and his spouse Wanda Nara are having marital problems. Icardi, who was a key player in Galatasaray's championship-winning campaign and won the Trendyol Super League best scorer award, is in the news once more, but this time it's not for the usual reasons.

After Nara allegedly stopped following Icardi on the internet, there were increased reports in the Argentine media regarding an upcoming divorce and the couple's marital status. When Argentine reporter Laura Ubfal revealed details of her conversation with Ana Rosenfeld, Nara's attorney, the issue became more heated.

Ubfal reported what Ana Rosenfeld had told her about as she said, “Wanda has been wanting to make this decision for a long time. I tried once again due to personal and health issues, but it didn’t work out. Let everyone talk; I leave the things I’ve never spoken about for the end.”

She added, “Mauro was very young at the time. I already had a family. After my divorce, a relationship started between us. He understood that if he wanted to have a relationship with me, it had to be serious, and then he said he wanted to start a family with me. We got married five months after our relationship began.”

Galatasaray demand 50 million for Turkish superstar

Arsenal is reportedly interested in Baris Alper Yilmaz, according to an article from the Spanish publication Fichajes. During the summer transfer window, the Gunners are searching the market for an effective wide attacker and have their sights set on the Turkish star. Galatasaray, meanwhile, will expect almost €50 million in order to let go of him.

From July 2021, when Baris Alper Yilmaz joined Galatasaray from Ankara Keçiörengücü, he has continued to grow.  The 24-year-old's career with Galatasaray has so far seen him grow in prominence. Yilmaz had an outstanding 2023–24 season, playing in 55 games across all competitions for almost 3,500 minutes of action, scoring seven goals and dishing out twelve assists to help create 19 goals.
