In addition to adding many center backs, Manchester United intends to sign a fresh, versatile full-back in the event that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is traded. The right-back's contract has a one-year extension option that the team activated, so it is good until 2025. That was mostly done to protect his market worth in order to maximize the amount of money the club could get from his sale.

Following his comeback to the starting lineup in Erik ten Hag's debut campaign as manager, injuries and inconsistencies caused the 26-year-old to fall behind Diogo Dalot in the right-back hierarchy. Moving forward, he failed to impress, and the management is eager for a full-back with a stronger attack mentality.

The former Crystal Palace player has been linked to both West Ham United and Galatasaray, but United's asking price has proven to be too much for both teams to accept thus far. The Red Devils had been considering a move for Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui, a Moroccan who had previously worked for Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

The Hammers have their sights set on the same player, and based on David Ornstein of The Athletic, the London club is now leading the chase for the Morocco international. United is having difficulty moving on Wan-Bissaka, therefore the chance of getting Mazraoui is getting smaller by the second. It's interesting to see that Inter Milan is a top priority for the £50 million right-back.

Will Manchester United go in for Denzel Dumfries?

With four goals and six assists last season compared to Wan-Bissaka's three assists, the Netherlands international is an extremely skillful forward. It is unclear whether Manchester United will have to pay more to acquire the former PSV Eindhoven player, or whether it will just be a simple exchange. His current contract expires in 2025, and Inter is eager to let him go because he hasn't agreed to a new one yet.

Wan-Bissaka has been linked to Turkish powerhouses Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in recent weeks, but The Athletic reports that the former Palace player is adamant about joining Serie A winners Inter Milan.
