Despite Max Kilman's move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Ham United is still interested in bringing Nice center Jean-Clair Todibo to their London Stadium, according to sources this week.

Kilman, who cost £40 million, is one of the three recruits the east Londoners made thus far this window. In addition, they acquired goalkeeper Wes Foderingham upon a free deal from Sheffield United and Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras for £25 million.

Under new manager Julen Lopetegui, who took over for departing head coach David Moyes at the close of the previous campaign, West Ham United is having a busy summer. Due to their ninth-place performance in the Premier league's standings from the previous season, the Hammers were unable to qualify for Europe.

The France international has also been dubbed a "Rolls-Royce" by football scout Antonio Mango, is not just being watched by the Hammers; Serie A powerhouse Juventus is also hoping to sign the center defender. However, similar to West Ham, the anticipated cost, which has been reported to be between £45 and £50 million, may likewise be prohibitively high.

“Interest from West Ham is still there” : Fabrizio Romano on Jean Clair Todibo

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that despite Kilman's recent arrival from Wolves, West Ham is still willing to sign Todibo. The Italian journalist said that although there is still interest, the amount of money involved makes the purchase difficult to close.

In his ‘Here We Go’ Podcast, the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said that, “Interest from West Ham is still there. They signed Max Kilman for £45million, but interest in Jean-Clair Todibo remains. At the moment, it’s still too expensive for them, so it’s not easy at all.”

He added that Juventus have also shown interest in the centre-back lately, “Keep an eye on Juventus because the manager and director also appreciate Todibo. It could be too expensive also in this case, but Juventus keep following the situation of the player. Todibo will be another big name to follow in the next few days."
