Manchester United have finally agreed on terms with Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils management has decided to continue with the Dutch manager after their dismal show in the 2023/24 season. However, they qualified for the UEFA Europa League group stage after winning the FA Cup final against Manchester City. They finished 8th in the league table and after a dismal show in the league. The Red Devils will be going under reshuffling for the upcoming season and some new faces will be added.

René Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy will be joining the coaching staff for the upcoming season. The latter had been identified by the club as a way of shaking up Ten Hag’s backroom staff. The former striker has an impressive record during his two years in management with PSV, helping the club to the KNVB Cup in 2023 with a 65% win percentage.

United is also hoping to add more strikers during the upcoming summer transfer window, with Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee being one of the club's targets.  Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking for a new defender and central midfielder. Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite has already been connected with a move of £43 million and his price tag is likely to be backfiring in negotiations, considering that the Red Devils have already had a £35 million bid rejected.

United targets Bayern Munich's center-back

The Red Devils have now targeted Bayern Munich center-back Matthijs de Ligt as one of their top targets. The 24-year-old has emerged as a potential replacement for Raphael Varane as he becomes a free agent when his contract expires on the weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte has emerged as a leading midfield target as he prepares to leave the club just one year after coming from Sporting Lisbon for £51 million. Some big names will be removed from the squad ahead of the 2024/25 season. Brandon Williams, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, and Anthony Martial are the players that will be leaving the club for the upcoming season.
