Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is set to be on the move once more ahead of the new season. The veteran striker is linked with a move to AC Milan who happen to be the arch-rivals of his former side Inter Milan. The striker has been in Italy in the last two seasons after his stint with Chelsea was marred by tensions with then-manager Thomas Tuchel.
It is believed that AC Milan will want to sign Romelu Lukaku for the coming season. Chelsea as per reports in Italy wants 40 million Euros, while AC Milan do not want to pay that amount. There is a good chance that AC Milan will look to sanction a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Romelu Lukaku played a key role in Inter Milan’s title win a few seasons ago. He angered the fans by making a big-money move to Chelsea which was his lifelong ambition. His stint ended after he openly criticized Tuchel in an interview and later apologized.
Last year he was part of the AS Roma team and reunited with Jose Mourinho. It was under Mourinho that Lukaku enjoyed his best stint in the Manchester United shirt. The arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ended his stay in England before moving to Italy.
AC Milan eye Chelsea's trio in stunning deals
Apart from Romelu Lukaku, the San Siro-based side is also looking to raid the London side for two more stars. AC Milan want to sign Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevor Chalobah. It has come to light that Chelsea are set for a massive clear-out after their disastrous season under Mauricio Pochettino.
The multiple times EPL winners have already signed young Keiran Drewsbury-Hall from the recently promoted side Leicester City. “It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player. Meanwhile, AC Milan have been approached by Newcastle United to sign Malick Thiaw. As per the reports doing the rounds, Newcastle are set to offer 30 Million for the defender who has had an amazing season for AC Milan.
