When Kevin De Bruyne's current deal with Manchester City ends next summer, Inter Miami is reportedly committed to signing him. De Bruyne is the top transfer target for Inter Miami, which is controlled by David Beckham, according to the Mirror. The Belgian midfielder's agreement at Etihad Stadium is coming to an end, and if he doesn't sign a new one by the conclusion of December, he becomes free to speak with other teams for his future move.
Over the summer, there was conjecture over the City star's future with the Premier League winners since he was frequently linked to a switch to the Saudi Pro League. He ultimately chose to stay since he did not want to move his family from England at the time, despite attempts by former Saudi champions Al-Ittihad to entice him with a lucrative agreement.
The 33-year-old has had fitness issues ever since the 2024–25 season began. Should both clubs advance to the knockout rounds from their respective groups, he may face City in the first enlarged Club World Cup if he chooses to join Inter Miami for the upcoming campaign.
According to recent sources, City is willing to make the Belgian available to one of their other sister clubs. De Bruyne would be able to join another team controlled by the City Football Group through the move, such as New York City, Inter Miami's rivals.
“Sign a contract for 10 years” : Pep Guardiola
In Wednesday's 3-0 Premier League triumph over Nottingham Forest, the 33-year-old De Bruyne netted one goal and assisted on another, giving City their first victory in eight games. But according to British media rumors, he may be leaving the Etihad when his contract ends next year.
As they head to Crystal Palace on Saturday for the league, Guardiola will be hoping for another impressive showing from the midfield player. He said, “I’m not involved in (contract discussions). I would like to have him 23-years-old and sign a contract for 10 years, this is what I’d like, we’ll see.”
