James Rodriguez signs a one-year contract with Rayo Vallecano to return to La Liga in the summer. Only six appearances (and one start, against Leganes) have been achieved since his arrival at Vallecas, making his stay there thus far very inconsequential.

Given his lack of significance, it is anticipated that James Rodriguez would try to depart Rayo as soon as possible. There has been a lot of conjecture about his future in recent weeks, and rumors claim that Inter Miami is interested in the 33-year-old Colombian playmaker.

Many football fans are attracted by the possibility to see James Rodriguez and Lionel Messi playing together for same team. Even though they are far past their prime, both players still have elite skills that might help Inter Miami win more games in the MLS and abroad. The club might have a strong offensive presence if Messi's vision and Rodriquez's inventiveness combine to create a lethal attacking tandem.

Despite being toward the end of his career, Rodriguez is still in great demand as a player due to his remarkable technical prowess and extensive international experience. He shown his ability to compete at a high level by playing a significant role in Colombia's recent Copa America campaign. He hasn't had the best experience at Rayo Vallecano in spite of this.

Strengthen their team before FIFA Club World Cup 2025

In order to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025 MLS season, the club is reportedly keen to add the 33-year-old midfielder to their roster during the upcoming winter transfer window. The goal of this move is to strengthen their team for success at home and to get them ready for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Football icons have already made Inter Miami their home, as Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets have joined the team. Adding Rodriguez would only strengthen this star power. Rodriguez's European football expertise may also be crucial in assisting the team in reaching its ambitious objectives under the direction of recently appointed head coach Javier Mascherano.
