Despite Arsenal's efforts to secure an equalizer, they faced their first loss in the Champions League this season. Additionally, the team suffered another setback when Kai Havertz sustained an injury in stoppage time following a clash of heads with Yann Bisseck, resulting in a noticeable cut on his forehead. Manager Mikel Arteta provided an update on Havertz's condition and the team's resilience moving forward.
"Regarding Kai, yeah, he’s got a big cut. He needed to come off because he needed some stitches, but hopefully, he’s going to be okay for the weekend." Arteta said.
Arsenal is preparing to take on their London rivals, Chelsea, in an exciting Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, November 10. Despite facing some challenges recently, with just two wins out of their last six matches across all competitions, the team is looking to bounce back.
Mikel Arteta, the manager, remains positive about the upcoming game. He acknowledged the disappointment from their recent result against Inter Milan but expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of his players. This outlook could serve as motivation as they aim to improve their standing against Chelsea.
"If we play the way we play, we‘ll have a big chance to win against Chelsea. That‘s the way we have to go. I told them that I’m proud of them." he added.
