Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho

After the Croatian professional failed to produce the anticipated results, AS Roma is considering firing Ivan Juric. It is becoming more likely that Juric will be fired in the next few hours after yesterday night's loss to Hellas Verona.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that last night, Frank Lampard's name began to spread around Trigoria. During the time they were in England, the Friedkins heard some people associated with Everton, a team just acquired by the Texan billionaires, mention his name. Lampard isn't the only person being considered, though. The Friedkins are examining their alternatives both overseas and in Serie A.

According to the pink tabloid, Sousa, a former coach of Fiorentina and Salernitana, is one of the main contenders for the bench. Although the Portuguese has a contract with Shabab Al-Ahli, Roma may exercise its release clause. Graham Potter, a former Brighton and Chelsea coach, is also mentioned by Gazzetta as a potential Juric successor.

Allegri, Roberto Mancini, and Maurizio Sarri are the Italian contenders. However, because of his history as both a Lazio player and coach, Sarri is a less likely choice, as reported by Tuttosport on page 21. According to the Turin-based newspaper, some players called for Daniele De Rossi to return, but Gazzetta believes that the Roma management are not interested in doing so because they fired the former midfield star fewer than two months back.

“I saw a handful of big mistakes” : Ivan Juric

Even though Roma lost to Hellas Verona, head coach Ivan Juric gave his team praise. He told DAZN in his post-match interview that, despite the defeat, he was pleased with the team's performance.

The AS Roma manager said, “In terms of play, we made big steps forward and we created a lot, but we also made very serious mistakes. We’re in a negative moment but we mustn’t give up. The team has shown that they believe in what we’re doing. I saw a handful of big mistakes, so we need to analyse this aspect.”
