Despite Chelsea's late interest, the Italian media continues to believe that Juventus is in the lead to recruit Jadon Sancho of Manchester United. Sancho has been considered by a number of teams after it became public that he had expressed his wish to quit the team after being left absent from the squad for the game against Fulham.

The winger has reportedly piqued the curiosity of FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and former team Borussia Dortmund. However, Juventus has been the team that has been most active in the transfer window in their pursuit of the Englishman; United, however, is only keen on a loan arrangement.

As a result, word leaked out yesterday indicating that the Old Lady's plans are in grave jeopardy since Chelsea and United have been discussing a deal that could see Raheem Sterling go to Old Trafford and Sancho go to London.

With just three days left in the transfer window, Calciomercato asserts that "Manchester's position becomes more thorny, because the risk is that they will have to keep the player at least until January," indicating that the Italian media still believes Juventus is in the driver's seat.

Crucially, they also say that neither Ben Chilwell nor Raheem Sterling "are creating desire at Old Trafford at the moment" and that Chelsea's offer is dependent on them joining United.

Where does Jadon Sancho want to go after leaving Manchester United?

It has also been confirmed that Juventus and United are scheduled to hold new negotiations today. Additionally, Fabrizio Romano says that negotiations are still going on with Chelsea and Juventus, but for different kinds of deals.

Chelsea will purchase Sancho, but only when United receives a player in exchange. Juventus merely wants the option to purchase a loan agreement. Crucially, Manchester United must resolve the situation as the 24-year-old is reportedly "open" to both teams. In the next couple of days, the football world will finally come to know as to where the English winger is headed.
