The match between Wrexham and Chelsea was scheduled to be a friendly, but after just two minutes, James McClean and Levi Colwill started a major brawl. Both teams did not hold back, setting the tone in the first few seconds of play. Colwill applied a strong shove, causing McClean to intervene and deliver the Blues defender an aggressive shove that was not well received. As they pushed each other in the direction of the touchline, Colwill gripped McClean by the collar.

At one point, as members from both teams were getting involved in an ugly brawl, Wrexham manager Parkinson had to intervene in an attempt to maintain order. The match referee did not issue any cards because it was just a pre-season match, and Red Dragons partner Rob McElhenney was watching from the stands.

During their most recent part of their North American tour, the Red Dragons visited Santa Clara, where they took on Premier League opponents at the stadium of the San Francisco 49ers NFL team. A year ago, Phil Parkinson's team suffered a 5-0 loss against the Blues. This time, Jack Marriott and Luke Bolton scored goals to help Wrexham secure a noteworthy 2-2 draw. Lesley Ugochukwu completed the score eight minutes remaining after Christopher Nkunku opened the doors for Chelsea.

Chelsea look to offload Ben Chillwell during summer transfer window

After Enzo Maresca hinted that Ben Chilwell doesn't fit into his team, Chelsea may want to trade him during the summer transfer window. After suffering from hamstring and knee issues, Chilwell only made 13 starts in the English Premier League the previous season. The team might look to sell him after the pre-season tour starting this week.

He is reportedly in a difficult situation since The Athletic might utilize his £200,000-a-week salary to be taken off the books. The 27-year-old's injury history and the fact that he only has three years remaining on his deal make a bidding battle improbable, but Chelsea is apparently open to proposals for him.
