After reaching a personal terms agreement with the Italy international, Federico Chiesa, Barcelona is reportedly offering Juventus €9 million plus an additional €4 million in add-ons. Thiago Motta, the new coach of the Bianconeri, has locked him out of the squad and he is not part of their plans because his contract with them only lasts until the conclusion of the current campaign.
Following contacts with AS Roma, Napoli, Milan, and Inter, Chiesa reached a personal agreement with Barcelona for the three-year deal, supposedly at a reduced salary of just €4.5 million year. Regarding the transfer money, they still have to agree the deal with Juventus. According to Spanish daily Diario Sport, the initial offer is €9 million with an additional €4 million in add-ons.
Juventus will probably continue to require more of that amount to be promised than €9 million, even though it is probable that they will take less than €15 million and incur an overall loss from the €60 million purchase. FC Barcelona's agreement to sell Mikayil Faye to Rennes for €12 million allowed them to submit the bid today.Chiesa will sign a 2027 contract with FC Barcelona if Juventus approves the offer.
Under the terms of the agreement, he will get an income of 4 million euros every season, with an additional 2 million euros contingent on his performance. In addition to strengthening FC Barcelona, this acquisition would provide an attacker with international experience as well as a track record of making a difference at key junctures.
Some players, including Vitor Roque, Clement Lenglet, and Ilkay Gundogan, were recently sent back to Manchester City, whereas other players, including Mikayil Faye, have been sent to other locations. In the end, Barcelona still needs to reduce their payroll and salary budget in order to make room for more players.
However, the team's active defense options are severely limited in terms of personnel, with Clement Lenglet having previously left and Andreas Christensen currently joining players like Ronald Araujo on the sidelines. Hansi Flick may only be able to depend on Pau Cubarsi as well as Inigo Martinez to start for Barcelona in games.
