Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has maintained his composure in the face of the pressure to win the Premier League title. Liverpool took the lead in the Premier League standings over the weekend, and they will aim to keep up the pressure when Sheffield United visits Anfield on Thursday night.

The top three teams in the division are separated by just three points, and on Wednesday, Arsenal and Manchester City will both try to put more pressure on the league leaders. During his pre-game press conference, Klopp declared that his team and their performance are his sole priorities and that he has little interest in Liverpool's title rivals.

Jurgen Klopp said, “I didn’t even know that they play tonight. That is really not my subject. I expect them always to win,” Klopp said on Arsenal and Man City. That’s not possible when they play against each other – but now they don’t do that any more so I expect them always to win. It’s not about that. We need to get our points in, we need to win our football games. The rest I am honestly not interested in. When they play my heart rate doesn’t go up.”

“Sheffield United deserves our full respect” : Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Before their match against Manchester United this weekend, Klopp has stated that Liverpool would not be taking Sheffield United, who are currently 10 points from safety and at the bottom of the English Premier League, lightly. The Blades have drawn their last two games against Fulham and Bournemouth, showing improvement in recent weeks.

Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp said, “I don’t think our people are like this. If I would talk now about Manchester United I think our people would have the right to think I am already too long in the chair. It makes no sense. You cannot play football, you cannot win football games by not respecting the opponent. I have no chance to influence the Manchester United game in this moment. We will play the players who are available. Sheffield United deserves our full respect and will get that.”
