Manchester City have a packed schedule in the upcoming week as the English Premier League (EPL) champions have three games in a row within a week's time. However the most important of all the three clashes, is the game against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Guardiola expressed his annoyance over the fixtures. After the game against Arsenal ended in a 0-0 draw, the reigning champions dropped 3 points behind their arch-rivals Liverpool.

Erling Haaland's form has been a question for the fans and several other footballing pundits. Both of them are worried about the rough patch of the Norwegian striker. The 23-year-old has not found the net in the last three games for the club across all competitions. He was brilliantly neutralized in the game against the Gunners by William Saliba and Gabriel. After his poor show on Sunday, he was lashed by former Manchester United captain Roy Keane.

The former defensive midfielder stated on Skysports post-match show that he is playing like a League 2 striker. The striker finished with a dismal record with just seven passes and failed to register a shot on target against the Gunners. Keane also said that he is an exceptional goal scorer but in general play, he needs to improve over the years.

Guardiola replies back to Keane

After the 52-year-old's comments, City head coach Pep Guardiola has come back with a reply defending his star forward. He did not agree with Roy Keane's comments and has hit back at the former Man U footballer, he believes Haaland is the best striker in the world right now and he earned them the UCL trophy that was missing from the club's cabinet for so many years.

The Spanish manager said, "He is the best striker in the world and helped us to win what we won last season. He's exceptional."  Haaland has been the changing point of the club. Since his arrival in the club, he has scored 81 times in 88 appearances for the club across all competitions. He is leading the Premier League 'Golden Boot' race with 18 goals in 24 games so far in the competition.
