Manchester United have been struggling with form in the ongoing English Premier League (EPL) season. They are 8 points behind from getting a place in the Europa League. The Red Devils have not had the best season, but the more misery that adds is that their two centre backs Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez will be out for at least a month as they have suffered new muscle injuries.

United already missed the former for almost half of the season. The Argentine defender returned from a two-month knee injury, but has now suffered a calf injury while training. However Lindelof was taken off in the second half at Gtech Community Stadium due to a hamstring injury. Both are expected to miss at least a month. Though the sources confirm that they will be back towards the end of the season.

They are already missing Luke Shaw, Raphaël Varane who left the game against Brentford at half-time due to a knock from a challenge with Ivan Toney and Jonny Evans has also missed the past two games due to injury. Martínez and Lindelof's absences will make a headache for Erik ten Hag's defensive thoughts. Licha has now sustained a calf strain in training.

Will Ten Hag stay next season?

United dropped two points after drawing with Brentford in their last game. The Dutchman is already under fire after the side’s poor display in the league. Despite winning against Liverpool the side has not been consistent with their performances and losing points. They will be facing Chelsea in the upcoming fixture away from home and then Liverpool at home the misses for the Red Devils will surely have a problem as they look for the Champions League spot for the next season.

The Dutch coach will have to think of the two centre backs he needs for the two upcoming big clash. He will be having a press conference on Wednesday ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge. As the season is in the business end will the former Ajax FC coach stay in EPL next season.
