Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, may return to action by September 5, according to an update on his accounts on Instagram. According to the BBC, the 21-year-old suffered a right calf strain during an official training session on August 23.

At first, the diagnosis was that he would be sidelined for most of September, which meant he would not be able to play in England's UEFA Nations League matches against Finland three days later and the Republic of Ireland on September 7.

But according to what he shared on Instagram stories, it looks that the Englishman is recovering more quickly than anticipated and may be returning to action by September 5 (via Madrid Zone). It's unclear, though, if he will resume training or pursue full-time action.

Real Madrid will be hoping that Jude Bellingham's injury recuperation continues as the team under Carlo Ancelotti experienced yet another blow in the midfield. Bellingham hasn't played since Madrid and Real Mallorca drew 1-1 on the opening weekend of La Liga because of a calf issue.

After struggling to get into the first team during the previous season, playmaker Ceballos was linked to a move away from Real Madrid. However, on Sunday, he was given an opportunity to start off this season versus his old team, Real Betis. But after 65 minutes, he was pulled off, and Madrid announced on Monday that the 28-year-old had injured his ankle ligaments.

What did Real Madrid say on Dani Ceballos’ injury?

Sprains in the ankle are graded from one to three, where three represents a complete tear of the ligament and is the most serious. Kylian Mbappe scored a game-winning brace in La Liga to help Real Madrid defeat Betis 2-0. On September 14, they go to Real Sociedad to resume their La Liga quest

The statement from Real Madrid said, “Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid medical services on our player Dani Ceballos, he has been diagnosed with a grade three sprain with ligament damage to his right ankle. His progress will be monitored.”
