Brentford striker Ivan Tony has finalized a move to Saudi Pro League team Al Ahli, as confirmed by the clubs on Friday.
According to ESPN, Toney has signed a lucrative three-year deal with Al Ahli, with the transfer amounting to £40 million ($53 million).
Despite attracting interest from several top Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United in recent years, Toney has opted to join Al Ahli.

Ivan Toney's demand on the rise
In recent years, several top Premier League clubs, such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, have shown interest in him.
Despite Brentford managing to retain his services, Toney's contract entered its final year this summer. Consequently, the West London club reluctantly decided to cash in on the wantaway striker this month rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Brentford's head coach stated - "It's been a pleasure to work with Ivan over the last four years."
In the last season, Tony averaged more than a goal every two games, which is an unbelievable feat in every way.
"On the pitch, he has been a fantastic goalscorer, link-up player and leader. He has pushed the team, the squad and himself." :- Brentford's head coach Thomas Frank added.
Ivan Tony scored an impressive 72 goals in 141 appearances for Brentford and helped the club achieve promotion to the premier league in the 2020-21 season.
Ivan's Controversies at Brentford
In May 2023, he was suspended by the English Football Association (FA) from all football-related activity for eight months after being charged with a total of 262 breaches of the governing body's betting regulations. His ban was eventually eased after he was diagnosed as a gambling addict.
