There is news from Italy regarding Mario Balotelli's potential return to Serie A. Torino is reportedly interested in signing him as a replacement for the injured Duvan Zapata. In addition, Genoa has also shown interest, with manager Alberto Gilardino reportedly reaching out to Balotelli today to discuss a potential move. Negotiations between the parties are ongoing, and the striker, who is currently a free agent, appears keen to make a comeback to Italy.

Balotelli wants to prove the rumours Wrong

Balotelli, renowned for his outspoken nature, recently fired back at critics questioning his ability to remain a key player in Serie A. Dismissing the criticism as baseless, he declared his determination to silence such rumours with his on-field performance once he secures a club in Italy.

“You’ve had enough with this Serie A nonsense. I promise you, as soon as I sign with an Italian team, I’ll dismantle it.” - Balotelli said

Following his departure from Adana Demirspor in July, Balotelli has been seeking a new club. His most recent spell in Italy was with Monza from December 2020 to June 2021, where he demonstrated his scoring ability with 6 goals in 14 appearances. As a former Italian international boasting 36 caps and 14 goals, Balotelli's potential comeback to Serie A has captured considerable interest.

At 33 years old, Balotelli has experienced a career marked by various challenges and successes, yet he continues to possess immense potential when driven. His potential transfer to Torino could offer the team a seasoned attacking option at a crucial moment. Should this deal materialize, Balotelli would aim to revitalize his career in the familiar environment of Serie A, where he has previously excelled.
