New Update
Sergio Ramos vs Juventus

Sergio Ramos departed Sevilla three months ago when his contract expired. He has been closely associated with several clubs over this time, including those who are Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Brazil. But he's still a free agent, at least for the foreseeable future.

Ramos thought it would be very difficult to stay in Europe, but it is suddenly conceivable. Gleison Bremer, the Juventus centre-back, sustained a season-ending injury earlier this week. T Bremer's anterior cruciate ligament ruptured during the UEFA Champions League encounter against RB Leipzig, leaving him sidelined for the duration of the campaign. Due to his importance to Thiago Motta's tactical schemes, the Brazilian defender's injury was a serious setback for Juventus.

Ramos has had offers from the Brazilian top division, Major League Soccer, and Saudi Arabia, but he has not yet committed to any of those leagues. Remarkably, before returning to Sevilla in 2023, Ramos declined an offer from the Saudi club Al-Ittihad. If he decides to sign with Juventus, he would play in his third top European league following La Liga as well as Ligue 1. This will be his first season in Italy's Serie A.

Which other defenders are in the running apart from Sergio Ramos?

The Serie A powerhouses is searching for a replacement and Tuttosport (via ED) reports that Ramos represents one of the candidates under consideration. Ramos was one of Sevilla's best players last season, demonstrating his continued ability to compete at the greatest level. Juventus is going to be mindful of this, and there won't be many better short-term choices available to replace Bremer.

Apart from Ramos, the club has also been linked to Joel Matip, Simon Kjaer, as well as Konstantinos Manolas. However, Ramos, a former captain of Real Madrid, looks to be the most desirable candidate to take Bremer's place. It is unclear if Juventus will decide to add other players right away or hold off until the transfer window in the winter.
