Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United have a lot of things to worry about following their game against Liverpool. Three players were taken off the pitch midway due to injuries. Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka sustained injuries and left the pitch midway. Liverpool beat United 3-0 in a friendly match in South Carolina.

It has added to the list of injuries Manchester United had to endure even before the start of the next season. Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund are already injured for United. Even during their win over Real Betis, there was no shortage of injuries, as Antony and Marcus Rashford picked up injuries. They were not as serious as the ones the trio picked against Liverpool.

While Rashford and Antony played for a few minutes against Liverpool, the trio of Evans, Victor, and Aaron did not play the rest of the game against Liverpool. James Scanlon replaced Aaron in the 80th minute of the match. Will Fish did not play the full game following his confrontation against Harvey Blair. Each injury has caused trouble for United.

Erik Ten Hag addresses injuries

Erik Ten Hag claimed that the assessment had to be done about the injuries. He assessed the injuries of Fish, Evans, and Victor. Erik said that they had not checked how bad the injuries of each player were. He also spoke about the reason behind leaving Harry Maguire. He confirmed it to be a precaution and nothing else.

"We have to see what has gone on. The assessment, of course, with Will Fish is it’s an impact injury. We also had to sub Jonny Evans at half-time because he was ill. Victor Lindelof was a precaution. So, yeah, there are some injuries, but we have to see how bad it will be. And we had, of course, some injuries, but that is part of club football. We have to develop our team and make some good progression," said Ten Hag.
