Many clubs in football have a massive fanbase and there is no doubt there is a lot of support for the players and the performances of the players. One of the clubs that has a great legacy is Manchester United, which has won major titles in football- right from the Premier League to the Champions League. There have been some great players who have been part of the Red Devils and there are fans who still love and adore the team no matter what.

There is no doubt that the Mancs have had some great moments in football, but in the last few seasons, there have been many disappointments in the team. United under Ten Hag this season finished 8th on the table and failed to make an impact in the UEFA Champions League once again. Though they still managed to win the FA Cup after beating arch-rivals Manchester City, we cannot ignore the fact that it has not been a season filled with a lot of great moments. There is still a lot of thinking to do for the club going forward in the next season.

Rashford and Mount's future

The two players Manchester United backed this season were their star forward Marcus Rashford and attacking midfielder Mason Mount. These two players were backed a lot during the season, but unfortunately, could not live up to the expectations. Rashford could only manage 8 goals the entire season while Mount's season was inconsistent as well. The performances were so underwhelming that there is a possibility that the two might not feature in the squad at all.

However, Man United manager Erik Ten Hag has given his thoughts on the two saying " I trust Marcus and I 100% believe he can do what he did two years ago in terms of goals and performances. You can’t judge Mount’s season, he was injured. Don’t judge him. But when he’s fit, Mason will be a very good player for us and we can use him, versatile... he’s key”. Overall it still seems like Ten Hag is still looking to back these young stars for the upcoming season and hopefully they live up to the standards unlike the last one.
