Spanish football club giants, Barcelona's young footballer Gavi expressed his belief on Araujo to extend his contract with the Catalans ahead of the next transfer window

After Barcelona's dominating 5-1 victory against Real Betis in the Copa Del Rey, manager Hansi Flick and player Gavi addressed the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding Ronaldo Araujo. Recent reports suggest that Araujo may be considering a move to Juventus this season.

FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick expressed his confidence in defender Ronald Araujo's future at the club. Following the team's commanding 5-1 victory against Real Betis on Wednesday. Flick noted that Araujo has a year and a half remaining on his contract and praised his strong connection with the club fans.

"Araujo has a contract for a year and a half, and I have never doubted that he will be here. I'm very happy to have him, and you saw how the fans celebrated his return," Flick said.

Gavi confirms: “Ronald Araujo wants to stay at Barcelona, and I'm sure he will." People can relax! I always trust what Ronald says." Gavi added.

Recent reports from various European media outlets suggest that Araujo may be making a move to Juventus, potentially during the upcoming winter transfer window or in the summer. While Araujo has not publicly addressed the speculation, his agent, Andres Espinosa, has acknowledged the interest from Serie A clubs.

The Uruguayan defender made a successful comeback after an extended injury layoff. In his absence, the promising Pau Cubrasi and the seasoned Inigo Martinez had forged a strong defensive partnership this season. Despite some inconsistency in December, they are regaining their peak form once again.

FC Barcelona trotted with their dominant form in January by securing a spot in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals with an outstanding victory over Real Betis.
