The past few weeks have been challenging for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo, as rumours of a summer exit began to circulate and his form began to decline along with some health issues.  After being sent off at halftime in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, the 24-year-old attacker missed the league match against Celta Vigo because of a fever.

Rodrygo made a comeback to the team for the league's finals last week, but he did not play. He had yet another training-related problem yesterday, which prevented him from playing in Mallorca tonight and maybe for the remainder of the league season. During this time, Rodrygo has been the subject of several rumours, some of which claim that the player is unhappy with his position at Real Madrid and is looking to leave in the summer.

There has been considerable friction in the locker room as a result of the Brazilian international's alleged refusal to play for the squad again unless the circumstances improve.   On social media, Rodrygo has already responded to the rumours and thanked his supporters for their support. "Thank you for all your messages and concerns. I'll be back soon. Stop making things up," he wrote.

Many clubs are interested in signing Rodrygo

The Brazilian international could reconsider finding playing time elsewhere now that Ancelotti is expected to go and Xabi Alonso of Bayern Leverkusen is expected to take over. Rodrygo should have a higher chance of making an impression on the first squad if Alonso helps a Madrid club that is struggling in the championship fight and is eliminated from the Champions League by implementing a whole different tactical style.   When Rodrygo decides to leave Real Madrid, there seem to be plenty of people interested in the forward.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City, who have long admired the attacker, are closely monitoring the issue.   With informal talks already underway, major Premier League rivals Arsenal have also shown a keen interest in the Real Madrid star.   Given that Rodrygo has an uncertain future at Real Madrid, it is unclear how the scenario will develop in the days ahead.
