Rodrygo will miss the game for Real Madrid against RCD Mallorca in La Liga. On Tuesday, he walked out of training amid intense curiosity about his future, which continues Rodrygo's odd streak of absences. Rodrygo also missed the match against Celta Vigo due to sickness after leaving the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona at halftime. Carlo Ancelotti deemed Rodrygo fit and ready to play barely 24 hours before El Clasico.

However, despite being placed on the bench, Rodrygo did not warm up since Vinicius Junior was substituted due to injury, and the Italian manager once more claimed to be unwell. “Rodrygo had a fever that hasn’t allowed him to perform at his best. Today in training, he had discomfort in his leg. I don’t know which one. And he wasn’t well; he didn’t recover well from the fever. Afterwards, there was a lot of speculation about this. Everyone has a special affection for Rodrygo, especially me.”

This ongoing season, he looks to be in great form as he played 50 games across all formats and scored 23 goals. Real Madrid is now ranked second in La Liga and will continue to play despite Kylian Mbappe scoring a hat-trick in the crushing loss to rivals FC Barcelona. Even though the team was ultimately behind by a goal, Rodrygo was listed on the bench but did not get a chance to play in the match.

Rodrygo wants to leave Real Madrid

According to reports, Rodrygo, the Brazilian star of Real Madrid, is not happy with his present role with the team. Despite adding the talented French striker Kylian Mbappe to their assault, the defending European champions have not been at their best. It's unclear if Rodrygo will stay with the squad or if the club would consider selling him, especially since Ancelotti is slated to leave to lead the Brazilian men's national team and Xabi Alonso is expected to arrive.

Real Madrid will play three more league games to finish the season: at home against Mallorca, away against Sevilla, and at home against Real Sociedad. With seven points behind them now, the team is hoping Barcelona messes up their next games so they can still win the La Liga title.
