‘I want to win for..’- Cristiano Ronaldo aims for more titles with Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 after leaving Manchester United. It two years now and he has stated that he is eager for more championships for the club.

On his second anniversary with Al Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he is eager for more championships. Since signing on a free transfer in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United, the Portugal captain has scored 74 goals in 83 appearances and was awarded the Best Middle East Player of 2024 at the annual Globe Soccer Awards.

In his first full season, he scored a Saudi Pro League record 35 goals, despite not winning any hardware the previous season in which he won the Golden Boot, Al Nassr came in second behind bitter Riyadh rivals Al Hilal, who won the championship without losing.  Ronaldo has only won one championship since joining Al Nassr, the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023.

Cristiano Ronaldo who has 10 goals in 12 league games and has assisted on two goals thus far, is hoping to turn the club's fortunes around as the season goes on. Two years after making the historic decision to join the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken about his desire to help elevate the league and win more significant trophies with his team, Al Nassr. “The AFC Champions League is something I want to win for the club. I will continue to push and help Al Nassr to win titles. I believe that this year will be a good year for Al Nassr,” he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo is happy with his family in Saudi 

With over 900 goals in his career and the men's global record for most goals scored for his country, Ronaldo thinks the Saudi Pro League has been headed in the right path ever since he joined. Portuguese superstar Ronaldo says he and his family are happy with their new life in the Gulf country and that it is an honor to play in the league on the second anniversary of his historic transfer.

“I’m happy and my family is happy. We started a new life in this beautiful country.’ Life is good, football is good. In terms of individual and collective, we are still there; we are still improving,” Cristiano Ronaldo said during an interview with SPL.

In the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr is currently in fourth place, 11 points behind league leaders Al Ittihad.
