Cristiano Ronaldo allowed to negotiate with other clubs and leave Al-Nassr on January 1, reports suggest his 'long stay' at Saudi Club

The media reports have understood that 39-year-old footballing great, Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to leave Al Nassr this summer. He is expected to leave the Saudi club and take some ‘new challengers’ in the upcoming Summer of 2025. The Portugal international’s current contract is in June 2025.

Cristiano Ronaldo was roped in by Al-Nassr in January 2023, he joined the club after his contract with Manchester United. There had also been a lot of controversies during his stint with the Red Devils.

Ronaldo has scored 74 goals, alongside 18 assists in the 83 appearances for Al Nassr since his journey started with the club in January 2023.

Amidst the reports of the legendary forward’s departure from the club, the Spanish media outlet, Marca understands that he is expected to stay at the Saudi club for the next few months. It is being said because Ronaldo hasn’t won any title with the Al-Nassr. So, he is looking ahead to end his journey with the club on a higher and winning note.

Meanwhile, the Portugal captain also spoke about his future and the talks on his ‘retirement from the game’. He addressed the people at the Globe Soccer Awards last week on December 27. Notably, Ronaldo was adjudged the Best Middle Eastern Player Award in these events.

“I'm going to be 40 years old, but I'm not finished, I want to score more goals, I want to keep winning more with the national team. I'll keep going,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying by Marca.

“I'm not a coach and I'm never going to be one. Maybe one day I'll see myself as a club owner, I don't know,” he added later.

Speaking of the on-field action, Ronaldo will be in action for Al Nassr in the upcoming Saudi Pro League game against Al Akhdoud on January 9, at 10:30 PM (IST). Last time, he played for the club in their previous Pro League game against Al-Ittihad on December 6, where they lost the game by 1-2; the only goal for Al Nassr was scored by Ronaldo.
