Bukayo Saka recently revealed his take on Lamine Yamal and his influence in Barçelona's current squad. Saka is genuinely impressed by Yamal's accomplishments in professional football, especially considering he is not even an adult. The Barcelona winger will be 18 this coming summer, yet he has already played a pivotal role in a successful European Championship and has recently achieved the milestone of 100 games for his club.
"He's top. Honestly, doing what he is doing at his age, what can you say, he's unreal. It's not normal. No one does it. I don't think I've seen that level for a 17-year-old, so credit to him." Saka said.
Lamine Yamal has breathed fire into this season for FC Barcelona with his series of strong performances. He has long surpassed the stats of the footballing greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo when they were 17. Yamal has so far netted 49 goals in his first century of appearances in comparison to Messi's 55 goals and Cristiano Ronaldo's 26 goals. Both Messi and Ronaldo were 21 and 19, respectively, by the time they made 100 appearances.
Bukayo Saka and Lamine Yamal could face each other in the finals of this season's UEFA Champions League. While Arsenal trail 1-0 heading into the second leg of the semis against PSG, Barcelona is tied at 3-3 with Inter Milan.
