Arsenal is optimistic about the potential return of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli from their injuries following the March international break. Both players have been recovering from hamstring injuries, with Saka's situation being particularly challenging as he has been sidelined since before Christmas due to a muscle tear that required surgery.

Arsenal hopes for the return of their talented and versatile winger heading into the remaining match days of the English Premier League. Arsenal are set to compete for the title with Liverpool who currently hold the top position.

Bukayo Saka and Martinelli to be back soon

Martinelli faced a similar setback after sustaining an injury during the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Newcastle. However, reports from The Mirror suggest a positive outlook, with expectations that both players could be ready to contribute fully as the team approaches the crucial matches in April and May.

Injuries to key players such as Saka, Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus have presented Mikel Arteta with an ominous situation in attack. Currently, Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard, and Ethan Nwaneri are stepping up as recognized senior forward players. In a recent match against Leicester, Arteta used his tactical flexibility by positioning Mikel Merino as an emergency centre-forward, which proved to be a brilliant decision as Merino scored two crucial goals off the bench, leading the team to victory.

Thomas Tuchel will name his first squad as England manager next month, and he will have to proceed without Bukayo Saka. The Three Lions are set to face Albania and Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at Wembley, but they will need to adapt in the absence of a key player who has been integral to the team for the past three years.

The return of two crucial attacking players would provide an advantage for Arteta, whose team still has the chance to add silverware this season. The Gunners currently trail Liverpool by seven points with 13 matches remaining in the Premier League.
