Jamie Vardy, a jubilant personality in his own right, made light of an otherwise tense situation. His antics brought laughter to everyone in attendance.

Vardy's antics with the referee

During the first half of Leicester's Premier League match against Southampton, referee David Webb inadvertently collided with Leicester forward Jordan Ayew and fell to the ground. Jamie Vardy rushed over to the debutant match official, but, rather than checking on Webb's wellbeing, he took his hand and blew into the whistle still clutched by the referee. Vardy then simply stood up and walked away.

Webb made his Premier League debut after rendering a 17-year of service at EFL. However, his debut wasn't the most memorable as he had to leave the pitch for a concussion check. He was substituted by fourth official Sam Barratt.

Jamie Vardy was amongst the scorers in the fixture that saw Leicester City win 2-0. He scored his 199th goal for the club. With only three matches left of the Foxes, Jamie Vardy has his eyes set on the landmark feat of achieving 200 goals with Leicester.

Leicester's final three games are scheduled against Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town, and Bournemouth. Jamie Vardy currently stands third in the club's all-time scorers and is on track to become only the third player to reach the 200-goal milestone, joining Arthur Rowley and Arthur Chandler.

Leicester currently sits in the relegation zone in 19th position. With only three matches left, they are sure to be relegated to the English second division next season.
