According to a recent report from the Daily Mirror, Amanda Staveley is reportedly in advanced talks to purchase a significant stake in Tottenham, with funding coming from the Middle East. Staveley, a former Newcastle director played a pivotal role in PIF's acquisition of Newcastle, and is now looking to invest in Tottenham along with her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi, following her departure from Newcastle in July.

New Investors for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur is currently seeking new investment, and Amanda Staveley is working to secure funding from a different source in the Middle East after her involvement with PIF. She and her husband will likely acquire shares from Joe Lewis, the head of ENIC and a previous majority shareholder. According to The Mirror, a source has suggested that an initial investment could be finalized within weeks, especially since Staveley and Ghodoussi were seen as guests at the recent match against Brentford.

Investors to change Fortunes

Tottenham has been frequently associated with potential takeovers in recent years, particularly as the team continues to endure a trophy drought. The last time the club lifted a trophy was in 2008, and there is optimism within the club that fresh funding could lead to a positive change in their fortunes.

A Good Win For Spurs

In their last Premier League fixture, Tottenham Hotspur humbled Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford to climb up to the fifth spot in the season's leaderboard. However Manchester United's manager, Erik Ten Hag, is confident of not being sacked following a disappointing start to their campaign.

Johnson, Kulusevski, and Solanke netted a goal each for the Spurs in 3rd, 47th and 77th minutes of the fixture. United's skipper were given the marching orders following his red card booking in the 42nd minute.
