Fiorentina footballer Edoardo Bove is set to undergo surgery for the installation of an internal defibrillator. The 22-year-old recently experienced a serious incident on the field during a match against Inter, leading to his admission to intensive care. He is now on his path to recovery.
Reports from Calciomercato indicate that the upcoming procedure will involve fitting him with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), which will assist his heart health moving forward. However, the move comes with its own set of cons, as it would hamper his chances to play in Serie A due to certain restrictions.

Edoardo to follow Eriksen's path
Following the cancellation of Eriksen's contract by Inter in late 2021, he has made a remarkable comeback, thriving at Brentford and now with Manchester United. This serves as a reminder that while the recent setback is significant for the young Italian player, there are still opportunities ahead for him to continue his career abroad in the future. Prioritizing his health remains essential.
Currently, Bove is on loan at Fiorentina from his parent club Roma. The Italy Under-21 international has made 14 appearances for the Tuscan side this season, contributing one goal to the team's efforts.
Reports confirm that Bove is set to undergo surgery this coming Monday. After the procedure, he will visit Viola Park to bid farewell to his Fiorentina teammates, as his colleague Dodo revealed in a Twitch stream. Additionally, Bove will need to negotiate the termination of his contract with his parent club, Roma.
