The UEFA Euro 2024 is less than a month away, with some of the big nations having already announced their squad ahead of the marquee tournament that is scheduled to take place in Germany. In the last edition, Italy defeated England in the final at Wembley, by penalties. Spain and Germany are the most successful side in the tournament having won it three times each. However both the nations have failed in the last two editions of the tournament to make it to the final.

Spain have been drawn into the group of death along with Croatia and Italy. The three teams will have a hard fight in the tournament as the top two will directly qualify for the RO16. There are 24 teams in the tournament with Georgia the only team making its European Championship finals debut. As per the rules, top two qualify for the knockouts and the four third best-placed teams will be qualifying.

As the stars set to collide against each other to become the Kings of Europe. But ahead of the tournament, there are stars that will be missing the tournament for various reasons. Some of the best footballers will not be able to go to the Euro Cup due to injury, due to the non-qualification of their team, due to problems with the coach.

This will be the third time that European Championship matches are played on German soil, and the second time in reunified Germany, after West Germany hosted the tournament in 1988, and four matches of the multi-national Euro 2020 were held in Munich.

Of the ten venues selected for Euro 2024, nine were used for the 2006 FIFA World Cup,  Berlin, Dortmund, Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Frankfurt, and Gelsenkirchen. Dusseldorf, which was not used in 2006 but had previously been used for the 1974 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 1988.
