Former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay is currently a free agent after departing from Spanish side Atletico Madrid last season. However, it seems that he may have a new opportunity on the horizon.
The ex-Manchester United star has reportedly received an offer from a Brazilian club as he continues his quest to find a new team. Despite being without a club for three months, Depay has been linked with various European clubs such as Roma, Sevilla, and Rayo Vallecano.
According to some reports, the Dutchman has been approached by Brazilian Club Giants Corinthians. Corinthians have indeed approached Depay with an offer. They lodged an enquiry last month and have since formalised their interest with a contract offer. The Brazilian transfer window has closed, but as Depay is a free agent, he can register with a new club until September 20.
Itatiaia reports suggest that Depay would prefer to stay in Europe. Last season, the 30-year-old made 31 appearances for Atletico Madrid, scoring nine goals.

Dutch Gaffer prefer not to comment on Depay's departure to Brazil
As Memphis continues his search for a new club, Depay will also focus on his duties with the Dutch national team. Despite uncertainties about his club situation, Ronald Koeman has included him in the latest squad for the upcoming matches against Bosnia and Germany.
In response to a journalist's question about selecting Depay, the former Everton and Barcelona manager strongly defended his decision, stating, "Valentijn, please show some respect in your questioning. Never delivered?"
The Dutchman Manager preferred not to comment on Memphis' move to Brazil since he didn't want to face another backlash from his entire country. Koeman thought that he needed to be more tactical with his selection of words during interviews and press conferences.
Ronald Koeman: "I will not comment on Memphis' choice to play in Brazil. I don't want to get the entire country on my back again."
"I guess I have to be more comfortable with my words like I didn't with Bergwijn, where I should have used my words more tactical," he added
