Barcelona's Dani Olmo is uncertain for Spain's upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Switzerland in Geneva after sustaining a "significant impact" during the game against Serbia, as disclosed by Spain's manager, Luis de la Fuente.
Dani Olmo, the Barcelona player, was absent from today's training session due to an injury ahead of Spain's game against Switzerland.
La Roja will face Switzerland in Geneva tomorrow evening for their second match of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League following a goalless draw in Serbia earlier this week.
De la Fuente has confirmed that Olmo will be sidelined from training at the Stade de Genève due to the significant injury he sustained against Serbia, with an uncertain timeline for his recovery.
Despite de la Fuente's assurances regarding Olmo's fatigue, precautions will be taken, and it is anticipated that Olmo will begin the match on the bench against Switzerland.
Barcelona fans are eagerly awaiting further updates as the team prepares to return to league action on September 15th against Girona.
Luis de la Fuente updated, “Dani Olmo has a bad knock from the last game, and we don’t know how he will feel between now and tomorrow.”
“In any case, we have two wonderful forwards in Ayoze and Joselu, and we have a clear plan that we want to deploy on the pitch,” Fuente added.
Barcelona's already injury-prone team may find it tough to get a replacement for the Spanish Midfielder if he stays out of the pitch for an extended period.

Olmo's Dream Start At Barcelona
Olmo has made a strong start to his return to FC Barcelona, delivering impressive performances and scoring goals in both matches. He will play a key role in the new project led by Hansi Flick.
In the match against Rayo Vallecano, Olmo came on at half-time with his team trailing 1-0. His entry sparked a significant improvement in the second half, leading to a 2-1 comeback win, with Olmo himself scoring the decisive goal.
In his first match against Real Valladolid, Olmo led the attacking charge from the beginning, demonstrating great energy and determination. Although he hit the post twice, had a goal disallowed, and created other scoring opportunities, he didn't score until his final contribution before being substituted. His goal was the sixth in Barcelona's impressive 7-0 victory. Olmo is scoring an astonishing goal every 64 minutes.
